Most children achieve satisfactory toilet training between two and four years. Dr Rundle often sees children where this has not been achieved, and can advise parents in the best approach according to the age of the child. Daytime wetting can occur after toilet training has been achieved at a younger age. Dr Rundle will try and understand the possible causes which may be physical or emotional.

Soiling of underclothes is not unusual and may be associated with constipation. Other possible causes are dietary or behavioural. Dr Rundle can advise on overcoming these conditions which usually results in improvements to obtain a satisfactory result.
